I created this logo for a class in college. The idea of the logo was the result of a brainstorm that started with an arrangement of four uppercase D's and ended with four spheres lit from the right to resemble the four D's.

The animation shows a transition from a virtually dimensionless point to a one dimensional line, which rotates into a two dimensional circle that comes off the page and spins into a three dimensional sphere. The sphere begins to glow brightly as it moves through the fourth dimension, indicated by the speeding up of the clock in the background.

And if that's not nerdy enough for ya, I created the music by starting with a D note and building by progressively adding the next 4th step up the Cmajor scale.

All visual elements were created using Maya. The final production with music was compiled with Adobe Premiere.
